I had a great weekend over at Lazenby Visuals Gallery in Helmsley. I was invited to set up an exhibition of my work and paint live for the day. I worked on a local scene of Helmsley Castle and although I didn’t quite get it finished I’m pleased with the results so far. Look out […]
Well I’m very pleased to say that the opening “Meet The Artist” event to launch my exhibition at the “Inspired By Gallery” at the North York Moors Visitor Centre in Danby was a resounding success. I couldn’t believe how many people turned up and was humbled by the amount of genuine interest in my work […]
Only days after the close of my successful solo exhibition at “Spectrum Gallery” in Thirsk and I’m in the midst of preparing for the next one at the “Inspired By Gallery” in Danby, starting next week. I’ve been working on the collection for the last year so the paintings are all complete, thankfully, so now […]
Just moved into a new studio. I’m super happy with the space and although there is still a bit of organising to do I’ve started painting already. I’m sharing the studio with a brilliant artist called Emma Harding and I’m hoping some of her creativity is going to rub off on me. The blue ball in […]
We’ve just finished setting up my latest collection at The Old Grammar School Gallery in Otley. With 20 pieces of artwork and a few prints too it’s been really satisfying putting this one together. It’s on throughout February with a “Meet the Artist” evening at 19:00 on Saturday 7th, I hope to see you there. […]
Thanks to Cecile Creemers at Kunsthuis Gallery for including my work in their current winter exhibition. The preview evening was fantastic, with loads of people and a great deal of interest. Once again I’m humbled to be included to exhibit alongside such talented, established artists; there was some incredible art on display.
It was such an honour to be invited to display my work at the prestigious Art For Youth North 2014 Exhibition last week. I was so impressed with the scale of the event, the huge amount of interested and knowledgeable visitors and most of all the calibre of the work by all the other artists. […]
I can’t believe I’ve been shortlisted for Sky Arts Portrait Artist Of The Year! What an honour. Filming was fun and we had an incredible sitter – Gary Kemp of Spandau Ballet and the Krays fame. Look out for the series on TV this autumn to see how I get on… http://www.sky.com/tv/show/portrait
